BBQ Part Two
by posted 10/19/2020

The BBQ was such a success we're going to double-down.  Same program as last week, starting 5 PM after practice, except this time with better coordination.  The Peterson's set up a sign-up link.  (Thank you.):

Hope to see you there.

Thank you,

Tournament Registration
by posted 10/19/2020

2027 Avalanche SLC Team members,

Two items:

1. When able, please reply with your (a.) player's avalanche jersey number and (b.) the current school they attend.  If you need a uniform, please send "need uniform."

2. At your convenience in the near future, please go to the following link and register your player with the tournement:  http://registration.adrln.com/tournaments/1888078-oregon-lacrosse-classic-2020

Everyone should already have a USLacrosse number, but if for some reason you don't, you'll have to handle that as well as part of the process.

Thank you,
Eric P.

Avalanche Update (5/6)
by posted 10/16/2020

[corrections...]

Hello All,

Quick Reminder: Practices are on for the next two weekends, on Saturday and Sunday, from 3-5pm. at the same location (Miguel Ribera park).  We added the Saturdays...

This Saturday (tomorrow) we're going to setup a casual BBQ/tailgate near the practice area at 5 PM, which we'll kick off right after practice.  I know many have a lot going on, so if it doesn't work for you, no problem at all.

We'll have tables for food, and a number of tailgate style grills there.  If anyone has a proper grill, easily-transported and well-suited for this particular task, please let me know.

Some things that would help out:

Looking for volunteers to man the grill during the last half of practice. Antoine is a specialist in these things, but looking to spread the duty out.  Otherwise we'll put the grills in the middle of the field so Antoine can coach and grill at the same time.

Need a quick head count so I can be sure there's enough food.  Please let me know if you have any special requirements.  All are welcome.  Simple "IN/OUT for BBQ with #" will do it!

Could use some help with sides in the form of potluck.  Would be much appriciated.  If able to do so, please drop me a line.

Other than that, there will definitely be something to eat and drink there.  Looking forward to it.

Thank you,
Eric P.

Optional Team BBQ Saturday After Practice
by posted 10/12/2020

We're going to do a casual BBQ following practice next Saturday at 5 PM.  We'll be sure to do the covid-aware thing.  Masks, spread-out, etc.

Details to follow, but wanted to let you know for scheduling.  Weather sounds like it should be nice, but if for some reason it is not, we'll skip it.  All are welcome.  Not sure exactly where we'll do it, but maybe we'll just pop-up around where we practiced.

Realize everyone's got a lot going on, and we're already eating up a lot of time over the weekends, so no sweat if it doesn't work with your schedule.

Avalanche 5th, 6th OLC Tournament
by posted 10/12/2020

Avy 5/6th Grade:

Great first practice yesterday. We've got some great new additions to the team. After discussion with the other coaches, we're going to add Saturday practices at the same time and place for +2 practices.  This will give us 5 practices heading into the tourney.  If we need it, we'll add a 6th Wednesday practice on the 28th TBD. This is the only way we're going to get the reps in necessary prior to the trip.

If this causes an issue for anyone, please let me know. You should get calendar invites following this email.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Eric P.
