What gear/equipment do I need to play lacrosse?

BOYS NEED

  • stick
  • helmet
  • shoulder pads
  • arm pads
  • gloves
  • mouthguard
  • cup
  • cleats (recommended for grass fields)

GIRLS NEED*

  • stick
  • goggles or *helmet
  • mouthguard
  • cleats (recommended for grass fields)

Where can I get gear?

  • In Reno Dick’s Sporting Goods in Meadowood Mall carries a good supply of lacrosse gear and has a knowledgeable staff. 
  • In Carson City, Play it Again Sports on Topsy Lane carries new and used gear, and takes trade-ins. 
  • In Sacramento Lacrosse Fanatic has a brick and mortar store, and also sells online.
  • HSLL and Youth Program Coordinators may have stock of new and used gear for purchase or loan. Email .
